Out of town

Me and the hubs decided to take a short trip on Saturday. Ma came to hang with the littles and we hit the road. With no real destination in mind we started out driving East.
We did a lot of driving, it was nice just to go somewhere and enjoy the scenery. There is a ton of flooding near the Mississippi. Houses halfway underwater, it must be up at least 6 feet!
We ended up in Dubuquein the afternoon. Had a quick lunch and checked into a motel. We found a bar close by, Jumpers and saw a great band playing, REDDOOR. Female lead singer(but both guitarists also sang), we had a good time.
We hit IHOP for breakfast before heading home. It was a nice trip away just the two of us. I can't tell you that last time that happened!
