Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone has a great holiday! We had dinner yesterday with the in-laws and today we are celebrating at my mom's house.

Long time

I really need to start blogging more often! I get lazy and forget about it.

Lynzi lost another tooth. She's doing fantastic in school. She is reading like crazy and doing excellant in math. Her teacher thinks she might benefit from going to the
1st grade classroom for those two subjects! She really enjoys school and seems to get bored when she has days off and has to spend them with boring ole mom, dad and brother!

Kellen is talking more and more. I can understand most all of what he says now. I really think speech class helped him in the summer. He copies whatever Lynzi does which of course makes her angry most of the time.

Treatment is going great this time. I don't seem to be having the same side effects as I did last time or we are just controlling them better this time. Halfway done, yippee!

Halloween was fun. Took kiddo's with cousins and they had a great time, I walked with them about half the way and then got tired.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving this year and yikes Christmas so close after!
We should get the decorations and tree out this week.
I've actually gotten quite a bit of shopping done already. Yah for me, I'd like to get more done and not be running around at the last minute for that one gift.

Another one!

Lynzi lost her second tooth the other night at dinner. It had been loose for awhile and knowing we were having corn on the cob for dinner I figured it would come right out. She took one bite of the corn and decided it was too hard to eat. Then she just yanked her tooth out!

Wondering...

Wondering how it can be September already! And almost the middle of the month even.

We've survived the 1st 3 weeks of school. Lynzi has started riding the bus in the mornings and she loves it! She likes her bus driver but can't remember his name.

We're getting into a good habit of her getting to bed earlier and she seems to be well-rested in the morning, even getting up herself before the alarm some mornings.
She takes her lunch most days but has tried school lunch a few times.
It helps so much that she loves school. She's excited to go every morning and a little sad when she gets home.
We have had a few meltdowns out of pure tiredness I think, hoping those go away!

Kel and I are getting into a good routine at home. He still looks for her every morning when he wakes up but it's nice to have some mommy and son time! We've gone to tot time a few times with the cousins and even the germ infested play yard at the mall!

End of summer

I feel this summer has just flown by. I have a kindergartener! Yikes. She enjoyed her first day so much and could not wait to go back today!
We are still trying to figure out an earlier bedtime since we are all night owls. It's hard to ge Lynzi to bed while her younger brother stays up still! I'm sure that will change soon as he's been getting up when she does for school.
Sisters came to visit. Had a wonderful time eating, shopping, laughing, talking. The kids love their Aunts and it's so nice that they are able to take time off to come visit. We love them!
